The Sarpanch of Bhirandiyara village, Kamalsha Saiyad, 33 (in hat), learnt the use of computers at a UNDP-supported Mahiti-Mitra centre in 2007. The govt provide his office one computer. This allows constituents to able to apply directly for phone connections, passports, ration cards etc. Several, including Sumar (in green scarf & pale kurta) have used the computer to apply for jobs. Saiyad has in turn passed on some of his computer-operating skills to his constituents.
